Workshop Options

January 20th, 2016 : Perth & District Collegiate Institute: Perth, Ontario
Workshop Options: Session 2

A) Mobile Video:

Videos are a great way to promote your organization. Learn to create videos with iMovie and upload them to Youtube.  With iMovie you can produce great videos within minutes and adding these videos to Youtube offers users a free and easy way to share and manage videos about your organization.

B) Alternative Presentations:

Looking to add something new to your presentations?  Prezi and Sway both offer engaging solutions and alternative ways to share your organization’s presentations. Want to get feedback as part of your presentation - why not try Nearpod.  This on-line tool allows the presenter to get real time feedback from your audience (i.e. board members and/or general public) with reports.

A) Interactive Web Tools:

Pleased with your organization’s on-line presence?  If not, check out some interactive options to interact more on-line.  Services like Wix, Facebook, and Wikispaces will be demonstrated as well as tools like AnswerGarden, PollDaddy, Lino and Padlet, and FlickR that can make your on-line presence more dynamic and interactive.

B) Working with the "Cloud":

Sick of using USB storage devices? No problem! Services like Google (Google Docs), Mircosoft (Office 365), and Apple (iCloud) provide free online storage with the simple creation of an account. Work collaboratively within your organization and share documents wherever and whenever you need to work.  As an added bonus, these services also provide other on-line features (i.e. word, data, presentation processing).
